Bathroom Renovation in Orpington

Hello and Welcome to our website!

With the weather getting warmer its time to give your home a face lift, weather you want to redecorate or renovate partly now is the prefect time isn't  it?!

I hope you enjoy our posts, get inspired and call us to see how we can help you to create your dreamed bathroom, kitchen entire interior if you wish.

This bathroom belongs to a very positive and genuine couple (Their cat Daisy was very interested in this renovation 🙂

So initially I designed the bathroom as John and Maria wanted.

Remove old bath, new tiles ,radiator, sink etc.

The tiles had to only around the over bath shower.I thought I have to give them more options to choose from. After a chat with Kaloyan the Project Manager , we come up with a new plan.We relocated the sink ,so they can have a mirror over the vanity unit.

If you renovate you might as well do it properly right!

I went to browse around for tiles and presented them to John and Maria.

They chose Grey Gloss Porcelain  tiles in combination with off white textured tiles. They are very light reflective and added a great feature to my design.

In addition new spot lights were added to make the bathroom lighter.

A very quiet  extractor fan, wall hung vanity unit, new modern square slim stainless steel shower head.

For the floor we choose light grey wood effect vinyl .Initial plan was to be the same colour as the vanity ,but all the coloured seemed to have too much orange colour.

Whenever you start renovating, you will soon find out that every project no matter how small or big makes you change little things along the way(unexpected surprises)

This should not discourage you ,it is very normal.Even the best designers or builders can not guarantee that all will go according to plan.

I am still learning how to calm down and accept things without big drama.Even in this small project we had issues like tiles broken, tiles from different batch(meaning colour difference)

Obstacles are there to be solved.

Most important is what you have at the end.

As you can see below, images of how it was in the begging.

After that torn apart! and let the renovation start...

The project as the client wanted it and what was our design proposal. No more painted walls for them! No more mirror by your shoulder!

Its all worth the effort when you get a Thank you card, it warms my heart... Next thing on the list is renovating  the existing kitchen in a couple of months.
